The German Parliament is located in the Reichstag building. The building was remodeled in the 1990s and features a glass dome over the session area, which allows free public access to the parliamentary proceedings and magnificent views of the city in all directions..

 

The TV tower, The Fernsehturm at Alexanderplatz in Mitte, is the second highest building in the European Union at 368 meters or about 1207 feet tall.

Schloss Charlottenburg (Castle), which was burnt out in the Second World War, has been rebuilt and is the largest surviving historical palace in Berlin. It stands there with all its historical exhibits, statues, and stunning garden areas.

 

The Tiergarten (Animal Garden) is Berlin's largest park located in Mitte . Gorgeous flower gardens, and statues tell the history of the nation. People love to have their picture taken in the gardens, so bring your camera!

 

The Russian War Monument stands as a symbol of the past. 2500 Russians were killed during battle. The Russian Embassy is on a main street.

 

The S-Bahn is mostly an overground urban railway system. The U-Bahn is the city's mainly underground rail system. They both are extremely efficient. The street car or trolley is a great way to move between sections of the city. Alexanderplatz is a great place to work your tour schedules around.

Double Decker bus tours are a great way to see portions of the city. Although London, England is well known for its double-decker buses, Berlin has more in service than they do. You can try an unique ride on the Bike Taxis for short trips or they have regular taxis. 

These river boat tours are great to see the old buildings up close from the river side. The boats can hold up to 75 people.

 

No trip to Berlin would be complete without seeing Checkpoint Charlie and going through their museum. Nearby, you can see the remains of the Berlin wall and viewing the "Topography of Terror" exhibit back of the wall.

 

Berlin has three commercial airports; Tegel International Airport (TXL), Tempelhof International Airport (THF), and Schönefeld International Airport (SXF).
